ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Capturing the moment while allowing a certain mood to pervade the image is the most rewarding part of photography. Whether pre-conceived arrangements or happenstance capture, it is the emotion of the image that brings it to life. Allows it to have movement in time and space.
Diane currently focuses her art on capturing images of musicians and nature, drawing upon many years exploring the great outdoors and moving to great music. Both nature and music photography have a thrill much like the thrill of the hunt. Anticipating the actions of wildlife, waiting for a perfect combination of light and colors, capturing a solemn or high-energy moment of a musician at work -- it is in capturing the prized image where fulfillment is achieved.
Recently, Diane has studied photography under the direction of world-renowned musician photographer, Merri Cyr, who provides a constant source of inspiration and guidance. To Diane's credit, the debut album of "Super Satellite" -- a band which she frequently has had the pleasure of shooting over the years -- featured her photography throughout the CD package.
